Dear Miss Appleyard,

You wrote to me on the 7th September forwarding a letter from a Mr. Kaploon, about his losses by War damage in Hong Kong, which the Chancellor had received from ing Commander Bullus, M.P.

The only new point Mr. Kaploon raises is that relating to his service with the Hong Kong garrison, and with the agreement of the Board of Trade, we are asking the War office to deal with this aspect.

You may care to have the enclosed copy of our letter to Wing Commander Bullus for your files.
